Driving defensively in bad weather could help avoid crashes

While you may feel confident in your driving ability, bad weather conditions can cause you to become an auto accident victim.. Ice storms that swept across the Oklahoma City area on Dec. 20 led to multiple auto accidents, with a 15-car pileup occurring just one hour after the freezing rain moved in. By that evening, state authorities had confirmed more than 17 car accidents across the state, with at least one fatal car crash.

Snowy accident takes Oklahoma man's life, injures another

Sadly, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed that a two-vehicle accident recently took the life of an elderly Sapulpa man and injured a man from Bixby. Snowy and slick weather conditions are believed to have been a factor in the crash, and Oklahoma residents who brave the roadways this winter would be well advised to exercise due caution.

DUI, distraction cause fatal wreck in Oklahoma City

Two of the most dangerous things a driver can do on the road are being intoxicated and texting while driving. In today's world there is no excuse for not understanding the dangerous consequences both actions can have. Both cause delayed reaction time and a poor sense of surroundings. Unfortunately, one Oklahoma City man's choice to do both yesterday resulted in the death of another person.

Are icy Oklahoma roads a car accident liability excuse?

Oklahoma may not get as much snow and ice as other states across the nation, but sometimes this means that roads could be even more dangerous when bad weather does hit. Not only are there the hazardous conditions to deal with, but drivers may also be less familiar with driving under these conditions, and the state may have fewer resources to quickly remove the hazard.

Fatal Oklahoma crash shows the ongoing effects of car accidents

This summer, a serious accident outside of Oklahoma City left one woman dead and another with serious injuries. The two women were hit by a speeding taxi, causing their car to overturn. The car's passenger was killed and the driver is still in the hospital with injuries that include gasoline burns. She was nearly paralyzed.
