Motorcyclists are especially vulnerable in accidents

Although every automobile accident has the potential to inflict serious injury to drivers, no operators are as vulnerable in an automobile accident as motorcyclists. Unlike the drivers in cars and trucks, motorcyclists do not have the protection of their surroundings and very often suffer greater injury when involved in an accident. These injuries can range anywhere from catastrophic and debilitating physical injury, to emotional financial and mental suffering and can continue to impact an individual and their family long after recovery is over.

Special duty of care to children

Each year, thousands of pedestrians are injured in pedestrian-automobile accidents. Many of these victims are children that suffer catastrophic injuries or death when struck by a vehicle. When pedestrian accidents are investigated, negligence may be assigned by weighing the pedestrian and the driver's duty of care. While neglecting these responsibilities may significantly impact an injured party's ability to recover damages, it is important for drivers to understand that when it comes to children, the duty of care changes.

Recovering damages in a drunk driving accident

Drunk driving accidents can cause serious injury and sometimes death to drivers, passengers, other motorists and pedestrians. When bodily harm or death occurs at the hands of a drunk driver, state law may allow for a felony DUI charge. While a felony charge may prevent that driver and others from drinking and driving, it does a little to compensate those injured or killed as a result of a drunk driver's negligence.

Attorneys can help car accident victims

Despite the use of seatbelts, defensive driving techniques and the countless safety measures of new vehicles, thousands of individuals are injured or killed each year in automobile accidents. Just like the moments leading up to a crash, the weeks and months following a serious accident can be blurred and confusing. Facing this time alone can be downright terrifying. Fortunately, individuals injured in an automobile accident do not have to face this time alone.

Drug cocktail to blame for semi truck crash

Wednesday evening traffic on the Will Rogers Turnpike turned into a disaster when a man driving a semi truck led officers on a chase after flipping his rig. Now a Texas semi truck driver faces charges of DUI, assaulting an officer and carjacking after the series of events that led to two semi truck accidents and a number of assaults.
