Shea grew-up in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Following high school, Shea served in the United States Marine Corp as an Infantry TOW Gunner. He is a decorated war veteran with a combat deployment to Fallujah during Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
After the Marines, Shea went to Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in 2008. Shea continued his education at Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school, Shea was a member of the Law Review and Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity. His honors included Faculty and Dean's honor roll, Merit Scholar and CALI awards for Contracts. Shea graduated near the top of his class in 2011. Shea passed the Oklahoma bar and became a member of the Oklahoma bar in 2011.
Shea's previous work experience includes working as an attorney with the law firm of Rodolf & Todd, and later with the law firm of Cathy Christensen & Associates. While at those firms, Shea's experience included representing large corporations by litigating and trying catastrophic injury cases that had the potential of multimillion dollar damages.
However, Shea quickly discovered that his passion is standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. By joining the firm of Maples, Nix & Diesselhorst in 2017, Shea is now able to use that experience and his unique set of skills to work toward obtaining justice and a positive outcome for his clients. His practice focuses primarily on personal injury and tort litigation, including medical malpractice and birth injury cases. Shea's passion for litigating cases and being in the courtroom offers him the forum to continue to fight for his clients. Shea's laidback personality and the ability to become friends with anyone he meets, is invaluable in establishing rapport and building trust with his clients.
Shea is a member of the American Association of Justice, Birth trauma Litigation Group, Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association of Justice, and Turner Inn of Court. Shea is heavily involved with the Oklahoma Bar Associate by serving on the Mock Trial committee, Young Lawyers Board, Military Committee and Bench and Bar Committee.
Shea is an active member in the community, including being a member of American Legion, VFW, Oklahoma City Young Professionals, and Marine Corp League. He is also a volunteer with local organizations, including United Way of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma Lawyers for American Heroes, and Oklahoma Innocence Project.
In Shea's spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsay, and daughter, Makenna. Shea also enjoys anything to do with sports, especially Oklahoma State and Thunder basketball, exercising, reading, and watching movies.
