Standing With You

The Fourth of July extended weekend is fun for everyone. Family, Friends, Food and Fireworks. What more can you ask for? And this weekend should be especially fun with mild weather and an extra day off for everyone.

NIx Law Group wishes our family, friends and fans a safe and happy holiday weekend. Safe first and foremost. But safe is not always a sure thing on 4th of July. In fact, the 4th of July is one of the leading holidays for traffic accidents resulting in injuries and even fatalities. For example, last 4th of July weekend in Oklahoma, there were 3 deaths and 37 injuries as a result of car and truck accidents on the Oklahoma highways. A majority of these crashes were the result of drinking and driving. Drunk and impaired drivers account for far too may accidents in Oklahoma.

So my message to everyone is simple. If you chose to drink on the lake or at your local fireworks show or family event and you are intoxicated—DO NOT DRIVE. If you are on the road, keep your eyes peeled for drunk drivers.

Be safe and enjoy our country’s birthday with the people you love. Happy 4th of July. From Nix Law Group, PLLC
