Collision between two delivery trucks turns deadly

Taxis, coach buses and trucks are all commercial vehicles that are used for different purposes. For example, trucks are used for delivering various loads from one place to another. In Oklahoma City and elsewhere in Oklahoma, trucks are often seen on major roadways and their drivers are professionals who follow strict delivery deadlines. That is why trucks and other commercial vehicles are often seen speeding, which makes them prone to collisions that can result in injuries or fatalities.

Recently, a collision between two delivery trucks, a 2007 Mack Truck and a 1996 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, resulted in one person's death in Greenfield, Oklahoma. Based on the report, a 30-year-old man was driving the Mack truck that was hauling a tanker trailer when he collided with another tractor-trailer, driven by a 54-year-old man. The 54-year-old driver of the tractor trailer died at the scene of the accident.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one of the trucks became engulfed in flames following the collision on U.S. 270 at approximately 12:00 p.m. The 30-year-old truck driver sustained arm, leg and trunk injuries. He was treated at a nearby hospital and was later released.

Following any type of commercial vehicle accident, investigators will thoroughly examine the crash to determine the cause of the collision and if anyone who was involved was negligent and is liable for the injuries or fatalities. Commercial vehicle accident victims may wish to seek compensation from the party responsible for the accident, which may be used to cover accident-related expenses. In a truck accident, the truck driver, his or her employer and the trucking company may all be held liable.
